Promoting Sustainability

Baihoo always desires to live in a more balanced world, without creating excess waste. As a part of the textile industry, Baihoo is dedicated to producing more sustainable fire-resistant garments. We believe any action matters to our planet. To reduce life-cycle wastes and pollutions from our production, we now offer recycled cotton and polyester as our raw material of FR-treated fabrics.  This fiber has been certified by Global Recycled Standards(GRS). It helps reducing cradle phase GHG emissions and resources usage such as cotton farming and fossil fuel extractions.

The other action we took is choosing natural fibers over synthetic fibers when it is possible. Not only are they easier to degrade, but they also inherently have a naturally soft and cool touch, wicking property, and breathability. This kind of fabric is best for t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and underwear. Additional stretchability is now available for special needs.

Better Products in a Better Way

For decades, clothing wastes and disposals have been environmental issues. Currently, most of the textile wastes are still being incinerated and landfilled, emitting large amounts of greenhouse gases.

Degradable material is the future of the textile industry. Polylactic acid (PLA) is the most popular substitute in 3D printing and medical applications for its degradable property and renewable sources. To be a part of green sustainable companies, Baihoo is developing non-FR PLA workwear that is degradable, breathable, and comfortable.
